food-e-matters Great Abergavenny Bake Off

Simon King, chef/proprietor at restaurant 1861 near Abergavenny, will be judging home-made cakes at The Great Abergavenny Bake Off on Saturday, April 21.

The event, which will be held in Orchard St, will raise money for Relay for Life, in aid of cancer research.

The entry fee for bakers is £5, maximum two cakes.

“I enjoy baking, and have fun teaching my two young children how to bake,” says Simon, who trained with the Roux Brothers and Martin Blunos.. “Judging this event will be a delight, especially as it is raising funds for such a deserving cause.”
