Diamonds And Pearls At Brocket Hall

Brocket Hall – the illustrious stately home in Hertfordshire – the former home of two British prime ministers – has staged the first of it’s “Evenings of Elegance” for 2011, combining a magical house party in the rarefied environment of the Regency Hall with lavish hospitality, traditional butler service and the finest food and wine.

Brocket Hall - Diamonds and Pearls

Following the huge success of the first event with Moët and Chandon, which took place just before Christmas in 2010, combining a unique 6-couse tasting menu created by Phil Thompson – Executive Chef of Michelin-starred Auberge du Lac on the Brocket Hall country estate – with matching champagnes individually selected by Moët and Chandon, a series of stylish and distinct “Evenings of Elegance” have been planned with luxury partners for the year ahead.

The first in this series for 2011 was Diamonds and Pearls at Brocket Hall which recently saw the stately home partner with Zelley’s, the jewellery establishment in Bishop’s Stortford, who have positioned themselves as a West End style jeweller situated in the heart of the Home Counties; and Chopard – another leading name associated with the high-end watch and jewellery industry.

The two establishments allowed the lucky fifty-two guests in attendance to choose a piece from their collection to wear for the evening. A competition was also run, which saw each lady choose a “diamond”, engraved with a specific number. In Zelley’s still sits the matching diamond with one lucky number on it, and the fortunate individual who has the matching pair, will win one of three beautiful Chopard necklaces.

Those who missed out on the truly sparkling Diamonds and Pearls event, will be interested in the next in the series, which will be a Rat Pack themed evening on April 21st, when Thompson will twine his culinary artistry with fabulous jazz music and exclusive cocktails, to create an exquisite and unique gastronomic event.
